Many of Bologna’s hotels are located in the city’s Exhibition Centre region. Bologna Fiere (the exhibition centre) is considered as one of the most modern venues in the world; the Fiere even has its own Helipad. Since the exhibition centre is very near the Guglielmo Marconi International Airport, hotels Bologna in the city’s Exhibition Centre region are also airport hotels.

 

A very inexpensive Bologna hotel located just steps away from she exhibition centre is the Hotel Fiera.  The rooms are clean and spacious, definitely worth the $47 a night average price but with the hotel being so close to the airport and the trains, it can get a bit noisy. The hotel Il Guercino is about the same price per night, 105 kilometers from the exhibition centre, but far quieter. The hotel Il Guercino is a charming little hotel with a 10 minute walk into the city centre.

 

Bologna has a wealth offerings in all price ranges for both business and leisure travelers, the latter of who usually chose a Bologna hotel in the city centre to take advantage of some of the world’s most amazing art galleries and museums located in the city centre. A hotel near the main city square, Piazza Maggiore, will be right by all the main tourist attractions in Bologna, and most cost only a lttle more per night than the hotels near the city’s Exhibition Centre.
